Infinite Oblivion is a six-track album by Allan J Kimmel, loner troubadour of the Seine who performs as Departure Street.
The album is constructed as an imaginary film soundtrack consisting of six flowing, hypnotic, reverb-heavy tracks creating an overall Gestalt that conveys a sensation of movement through a snow-covered, black and white landscape.
The early morning train from Helsinki heading north, the cabin car permeated by the aroma of deep, dark Finnish coffee, your eyes closed and your mind drifting in counterpoint to the percussive rhythm of the train rumbling over the rails, as you contemplate the destiny that brought you to this particular moment.
The music creates a cinematic latticework of sympathetic notes and sublime textures intended to guide the listener to an unknown destination in space, time, and place.

The album was recorded primarily with two guitars (Fender Telecaster and vintage Fender Stratocaster, Jamman Solo looper pedals, and G1X4 Zoom and Boss GT-1 multi-effects pedals, through a vintage Epiphone Triggerman 60dsp amplifier.
Recorded, edited, and mixed at Le Studio Espace (Paris, France).
