The Concept.

The idea behind “impressions from a tragedy never lived” is a collection of images, sounds and emotions (expressed through the record) originated by “experiencing” the atomic bombing through reading and learning about it.
There is a silver lining ending the record: luckily we don’t have to live through that. Hopefully, no one will have to experience that ever again.

The Sound.

The album is a dark ambient/deathdream record that includes a lot of different samples. I like to manipulate them until they fit the track and, often, aren’t recognizable anymore.

Tracklist.

1. Town hall
Everything around us is just debris.The dusty and depressing remains of what once was a city.
- Samples: “Town Hall ~ Phyllis” and “Nintendo!” from the Animal Crossing - Wild Worldsoundtrack

2. Hibakusha
Some say that the people who survived the actual bombing were the unlucky ones. Surviving for a lot people meant a more painful and slow death.
- Samples: “Survivor of world's first nuclear attack recounts Hiroshima bombing 75 years later" interview from CBS, “small step for man giant leap for mankind” recording.

3. Oppenheimer’s monologue
The deep guilt of what humanity has done to itself.
- Samples: Oppenheimer’s famous interview where he says “I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.”, “Ai no Monologue” by Jennifer Connelly.

4. Fire and void
The destructive power of the bomb still echoes in the air. “Mankind invented the atomic bomb, but no mouse would ever construct a mousetrap.”
- No samples but the melody is a reconstruction of “Ov fire and void” by Behemoth.

5. The comforting sound of home
The silver lining. Everything is just a painful but distant image.
